Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 This is the perfect time to show your support to the LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer) community! We celebrate Pride Month to honor the identity, rights, and inclusion of LGBTQ+ people as we work toward a more equitable future. As adults, publicly celebrating Pride Month also helps foster a greater sense of belonging for everyone in our communities, helping LGBTQ+ youth and other adults feel safe, affirmed, and welcome.
Did You Know? Pride Month is celebrated in June to commemorate the Stonewall Uprising. In June 1969, police raided the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in New York City, with the intent to arrest patrons just for living as themselves. When patrons, including trans activists Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, stood up to the police, the uprising began.
Since 1969, the United States has made great strides toward LGBTQ+ acceptance, but there’s still more we can do to create inclusivity and a stronger sense of belonging for all people.

Lanyard Pride Keychain
Create a colorful lanyard keychain to put on your backpack, purse, or anywhere else! Once you make a keychain, you can show off your pride everywhere you go.
In this video, we create a lanyard keychain using the pansexual flag colors. Pansexual people are those who are attracted to others regardless of gender. Pansexuality is similar to bisexuality, which is attraction both to one’s own gender and to all other genders.
